MC Scott was born March 1, 1941, to RL and Leola Scott, in Iola, Texas. He later moved to Bryan, Texas. He passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital in College Station, Texas. Services are in the care of Jones and Washington in Bryan. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 7:00pm Wednesday February 2, 2022. Celebration of Life Service on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Bryan, Texas.

MC had an extremely strong work ethic. He was the owner of Scott Trucking for over 40 years. Unfortunately, he departed this life Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents, RL Scott, Leola, Fred Williams Sr., wife Lacy Smith Scott, sisters Mary Byrd and Louise Martin, brothers Donald Ray Scott and Isaiah Scott. Survived by his wife Dorothy, sons Delbert, Melvin Jr., John Henry Jr, daughter Chaundra (Quentin) Adams, grandson Patrick (Shay) Reed, granddaughters Fatima Scott and Kandice Smith, grandson Jay Carter, great-granddaughter Aaliya Reed, brothers Robert (Beverly) Scott, Frank (Velma) Gooden, Fred (Helen) Williams, sister Irene Ridley, sister-in-law Tracy Scott, brother-in-law Benny Byrd, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The Scott family is grateful for all the family and friends that supported MC during his illness.
